1,000 Caregivers Surveyed!

Since the project launched on June 9th, over 1,000 caregivers of autistic people across Canada have completed the “Families Facing COVID-19” survey. Thank you to all of the families that have participated so far! Our team has deeply appreciated the tremendous support we have received from families, advocates, autistic individuals, fellow researchers, clinicians, and community members. Stories of your struggles and your triumphs during the pandemic are incredibly valuable and we aim to use the information we gain from this study to best support you and your family during this time and moving forward.

Since launching, our team has been working hard on improving the survey and expanding it so that the voices of families of individuals with other neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as the voices of neurodiverse adults may be heard. Stay tuned for exciting new updates to this research project!

We have heard from people that have participated in the study that they are interested in hearing about the results once the study is completed. We have recently added an option in the survey for you to sign up to receive an emailed summary of the results. You can also email us to be added to this list.

We are continuing to recruit for this study. Please help us to spread the word!

If you are interested in completing other COVID-19 related surveys, this study and other studies across Canada are posted on the CASDA website.
